This is an international distribution company with extensive IT capability, who are in the process of moving all their internal systems to Microsoft Dynamics AX. This will be a very large and complex, multi site national AX installation. Development work will take place at their Sheffield Head Office.

All systems are developed in house and they need a highly competent and skilled Dynamics AX developer (either permanent or on a long term contract basis) to get in at the start of their Dynamics AX development and to train all their current R&D team members in X++ and Morph/X.

They need someone who has previously led a small team through a complex AX development project and is capable of guiding their staff through the development phase, and has the ability to advise the team on the best areas to utilise within Dynamics AX and where to bespoke, if areas in AX are not available.

You will have strong X++ and/or Morph/X developer skills and will have worked in Dynamics AX development for at least 5 years, either within an internal development role or from a reseller or software consultancy background. Above all, you should be capable of sharing your knowledge and cross training an experienced low level development team in Dynamics AX and X++. Therefore you should have great interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to pass on your skills.

This is a large company, established for more than 50 years with over 1500 staff and 25 depots, with nationwide presence; hence this will be a major Dynamics AX development project.

If you fancy the challenge and have the depth of Dynamics AX development skills required, then please get in touch with Jake King at Ambis on 0208 446 2121 or 07833 785255 for further information, or email me at jake@ambis.co.uk . Look forward to hearing from you.
